She graduated from Duke Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree in 2021. While at Duke, she served a two-point charge as a Licensed Local Pastor in the North Carolina Conference. Nicole moved to GNJ in 2021, served at St. Paul’s in Bay Head and began serving at Atlantic Highlands Navesink United Methodist Church. Nicole recently married to Pastor Andrew Maggs of Spring Lake. Nicole loves spending time with family and friends, making music, reading, spending time in God’s creation with her dog, Lilo, and continuing to live into her call to help others to follow Jesus. She is passionate about loving God, loving others, and making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

She is currently the Director of FilmOneFest, a film festival in Atlantic Highlands and has been involved with the FilmOneFest since 2009.
She is a board member of the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council. She volunteered for two years as the event planner for TEDx Navesink. In addition, she has been an education advocate for the past 16 years, leading PTOs and serving on the Board of Education in Atlantic Highlands. She was the president of the Henry Hudson Tri-District Education Foundation since 2016.
